Tom Conley Releases Thought-provoking Poetry Collection

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 28, 2014

Author and poet Tom Conley reaches out to readers from all walks of life and creeds in his new poetry collection, The Common Cup (published by Trafford Publishing). The cup is a metaphor for the common feelings that readers share, which inspire self-reflection.

There are so many feelings expressed in the book that help people identify with their own circumstances, Conley says.

The poems in The Common Cup touch on universal themes that readers can identify with. Conley expertly renders feelings of imagination, nostalgia and wonder through well-crafted poems. These poems speak to my heart and soul and touch inherent poetry in my soul and spirit, reveals Conley.

An excerpt from the poem, A Sometimes Thought, included in The Common Cup:

No longer twenty nowwell encroached upon that third decade and a dozen plus years in labors of church, a sometimes thought brushes by me like a swallows wing on the way to somewhere elsea thought that just now Ive had what bards and poets have called a dangling conversation.
